As of 01/09/2004 Koebcke is the in-house printer for the lower and upper chambers of the German parliament, the Bundestag and Bundesrat. The commission, initially expected to run for three years, will involve around 324 million printed pages being produced by a digital printing process and distributed to the elected members of the German Bundestag, the representatives of the German federal states as well as many other recipients.This parliamentary operation demands a service with particularly high levels of flexibility, speed and reliability. For this customer, consistently high-quality of printed materials and modern contingency plans are crucial. Koebcke is meeting this requirements by using experienced employees on a multiple shift basis, a high level of automation and a machine park conforming to the latest standards. 51 high-performance printing machines have been installed for the purpose in 700 square metres of production space in the Bundesrats building in Berlin's Leipziger Straße. These machines can handle more than 5 million pages a day. By combining digital printing with data management, Koebcke can keep the customer constantly informed online of the processing and delivery status of all materials.
